LET’S SAY I DO, SHALL WE?
So, you’re thinking about a wedding film. You’re in the right place. I’m the first one to tell you that a wedding film is the best investment you’ll make on your wedding day… and look, I get it - you’re thinking I have to say that; I film weddings for a living. Let me tell you why I film weddings… because I didn’t prioritize a wedding film when I got married. It’s my biggest regret, and there’s not a single thing I can do about it. So, I did the next best thing… I’ve created a space where I can offer those services to brides who are in the same shoes I was.
MEET SHELBY
I know the pants and the professional photo above (taken by my beautiful best friend, Katelyn Craven, with Butterflies of Hope Photography) make me seem buttoned up and professional, but that’s only partly true.
I’m professional until we’re cutting up on the dance floor or helping you straddle the potty one last time before heading down the aisle to say I do and smooch your Mr. or Mrs.
During those two scenarios, we’re giggling too hard to be considered professional.
I’m going to let you check out my work to decide if we’re a good fit in that department, but as for who you’re spending your wedding day with… I’m a good time. I love what I do, and I’m confident in my skills so I’m able to have a lot of fun on wedding day.
I bring a detail box to add to your special memories… I have an emergency kit for mishaps… I always have a backup plan and believe that no matter what the day brings, it’s going to be magical and special because you’re marrying the love of your life.
My only two priorities are to ensure that the two saying I do have a magical and stress-free day and to capture the day authentically, as it happens.
*Professional Shelby enters the chat.
I work for you and your significant other. Whatever you want on your day is up to you (if someone is telling you otherwise, I can’t tell you what I think because this is professional Shelby - dm non-professional Shelby for advice).
I fully support whatever you want the day to look like. I’ll make sure we keep those wants at the forefront. So, Aunt Kim, who’s holding up the line because she wants a photo when that wasn’t part of the plan… I’ll chat with her. Uncle Jim wants a photo (three rows from the front) on his iPhone 7… as you’re walking down the aisle…he will be sitting down. Ya know, things like that.
If there’s anything else you want to know, you can email me or send me your favorite coffee shop, and I’ll meet you there.
xoxo, Shelby
